Project support

Connect electricity decisions to the temperature, timing and reliability of a useful heat service. Compare direct electric heating, heat pumps and electrically charged thermal storage on one process boundary.

This centre covers process heat, heat recovery, heat pumps, thermal storage and their electrical interfaces. Heating examples use MWh_th and MWh_e explicitly; they do not turn stored heat into electrical backup capacity. Cooling requires a separate cold-service boundary and performance data.

Project support follows the three stages below. Scope, evidence availability and fees require a project discussion; this page does not promise equipment performance, connection approval or investment returns.

1. Stage 1 · Map the heat service and existing baseline

Starting evidence

Provide temperature/pressure/flow records, operating schedules, useful heat measurements, fuel bills and process interruption limits.

Working output

Prepare a process heat map, consistent energy boundary and temperature/time segmentation.

Gate to the next step

Confirm measurement and fuel heating-value bases, and distinguish production peaks from annual averages.

2. Stage 2 · Compare integrated supply pathways

Starting evidence

Provide guaranteed delivery conditions, source-heat availability, electric headroom, tariff assumptions and TES charge/hold/discharge data.

Working output

Compare temperature, power, energy and charging constraints before period energy costs; list specialist studies and retrofit dependencies.

Gate to the next step

Resolve temperature and process compatibility before using a favourable COP or price to justify an option.

3. Stage 3 · Plan retrofit, control and acceptance

Starting evidence

Provide heat-exchanger design, utility interfaces, control sequences, legacy backup, maintenance windows and acceptance methods.

Working output

Prepare integration and acceptance matrices, operating limits, fallback actions and evidence requirements.

Gate to the next step

Responsible process, electrical and safety specialists must sign off applicable conditions before production handover.
